No kids join this event due to the difficulty. However our coach Chris proudly wore the color of Elite Orphans Running Club. Chris signed up for the 45 km and finished 6th in 5h52. Five runners were faster than Chris that day but it was a really tough effort. A though to the father, husband and runner who lost his life while running the 70km. It is always a tragic moment when our running brothers and sisters pass away while doing what they like. Prayers go to the widowed family, R.I.P.
The know how to run but they also know how to play football !!! Our older kids, Duy, Phi, Cung, Vy and Nam challenged a nice team from Green Bamboo orphanage. The first match was a formality, 6-2 for our boys while the second match was tougher 2-2. A nice Sunday morning to spend in D2. Thank you Miss Linh for inviting us, we will come back !!
As crazy as it sounds, Duyen turned out 12 years old. Muoi, Ha, Ai, Anh, Vy, My and Oanh enjoyed Duyen's birthday at Villa Jasmine. Swimming pool, jumping area, games, slim and many activities were organised to celebrate that special day !!
12 elite orphans joined the mythique race called The Last Standing (Wo)Man. The rules are simple, runners must run a loop of 3km under 20 minutes to run the next loop etc etc ... The race stops when there is only one runner left !!
All our girls, Oanh, Giao, Duyen, Muoi and Ngan completed one loop. Only Ha succeeded to run 2 loops !!!
Our boys were a bit more courageous. While Cung, Vinh, Vy, Giap and Nam completed 2 loops. Anh PHUOC run 7 LOOPS !!!! 21 km for this young boy of 14 years old in 2h20:00 as runners must wait 20 minutes before starting running again. Incredible performance that deserves RESPECT!!
